Artemis Fowl Stamp - Artemis by cuddlefactor Artemis Fowl Stamp - Artemis by cuddlefactor
When I was looking for a decent Artemis Fowl stamp today, I couldn't find one I liked. So... decided to make me my own and set off looking for official art I could use...
Well. I found too much. So instead of making just one stamp as I had originally planned, I made a total of 7. I stopped there though. Seven is a good number.

Here are the other stamps:
Artemis
Holly
Butler
Book
Eternity Code
The Lost Colony
Graphic Novel

Artemis Fowl and everything related is, of course, © Eoin Colfer, and the art is from different book covers, I'm too lazy to look up the artist.

At first I nicknamed him Fartemis, cause he was such a jerk... then he grew a heart, and became Arty.... Such a shame,,,,

I've only read them once. Though I read The Atlantis Complex twice. I'm thinking of reading them in English sometime soon. :)

I read them in english too and they were amazing, sometimes a lot gets lost in translation so I can definitely recommend it ;)

Yeahh... especially with puns and stuff like that. For example Percy Jackson's translator is sooo bad. :/ I mean, I guess he's okay, but the puns... QAQ The books were a lot better in English. And The Hunger Games had mistakes scattered around the books.

I only read those in english so I can't really compare but I can imagine that some things just don't fit well :/ I get that it's hard to translate e.g. puns but I just think books loose a lot of charm and humor when they're translated ;A;

Yeah, they often do... and then there's the problem that all books aren't originally in English. There's this one author whose books I like... and she's from Denmark, I guess.

uh? lol that's a weird request :XD:
just type in stamp tutorial in dA's search bar? if you know how to use Photoshop, it should not be any problem for you at all, and if you don't it will take a lot more than just my explanation to teach you that.
but I'm glad you like the stamp. :meow:

I have suddenly got into the ARTemis Fowl obsession mode after seeing your pic. Artemis Fowl is an awesome story, although I'm still looking for a book series close to it. No luck so far. YOUR STAMP IS AWESOME!!

:giggle: thanks so much! for the fav, too! and I would try some terry pratchett books, if I were you. they're not the same style, not at all, but I enjoy them nearly as much as I did the Fowl series. ;)

What are they about?
Reply
:iconcuddlefactor:
cuddlefactor Featured By Owner May 30, 2009
which one? he wrote a whole lot of them already... they're not a series as such, they're more all set in the same world, where golems, dwarfs, vampires, humans, werewolves ect all live in a political system that's supposed to work. sometimes it doesn't do that too well. and that's what pratchett writes down, with wonderfully witty humour, colorful characters and (for me) always interesting storylines. I'm currently reading "Making Money" - so far it's awesome.
